In 1872 to 1881 the right was given to the English company Aruba Island Gold mining Company, London. It was finally this company which built the Gold mill of Bushiribana in 1874. The famous Aruban bricklayer or masons at the time, Alexander Donati along with a few other bricklayers of Curacao were hired to lift the massive rock.
In addition there are two gold mills on island. On the northern coast sits the abandoned Bushiribana gold mill that once processed ore from mines in the nearby hills during Aruba's gold rush of the nineteenth century. The second site, the Balashi Gold Mill, was built at the tip of the Spanish Lagoon.

Reviewed July 22, 2019 . Ruins. Beautiful place in my opinion full of memories. Very windy. Wear nice close shoes and get ready to climb.
